Presented below are some scenarios where our AscTec Falcon 8 systems have been successfully used.

Remote sensing & Photogrammetry

  
Take normal color, infrared and near infrared aerial images with geo-referencing hassle free. Merge the images together to generate a larger geo-referenced map. Predefined flight patterns enable the flight system to take images of large areas autonomously.

• Use NIR images to map areas of flora to extract NDVI, SAVI, canopy segmentation and NIR/Green ratios.
• IR cameras can be used for observing animals in hidden foliage.
• Normal color images can be used for high-resolution up-to-date maps instead of costly satellite images.

3D Modeling

  
Aerial images from different perspectives can be used to generate 3D models of archaeological sites and mining dumps. Collect your images periodically from the same position, to document progress and calculate how much material has been removed/ moved.

Emission free surveillance

  
Survey animals in sensitive areas such as national parks or rain forest without leaving a footprint. Record video or photograph nature from a completely new perspective.
