Berlin, Intergeo 2014.

Jan Stumpf, CEO, Ascending Technologies and Denise Wenzel from INTERGEO News are talking about UAV’s huge future in surveying applications.

One highlight of this year’s Conference and Trade Fair for Geodesy, Geoinformation and Land Management is the flight zone in the Sommergarten. There you can experience live flight shows for instance of the AscTec Falcon 8 + brand new AscTec Trinity. During the three days of the INTERGEO 2014 (7.–9.10.2014) you can watch the Octocopter at 11.30 am and 3 pm. In case of bad weather conditions our staff will be glad to welcome you indoor at stand 2.001 in hall 2.1.

How to find the flight zone in the Sommergarten?

From the Messe Berlin’s main south entrance you easily go straight through the central corridor past all halls until you reach hall 6. Behind hall 6 you find the flight zone in the Sommergarten.

INTERGEO is the world’s leading trade fair for geodesy, geoinformation and land management. A total of 16,383 visitors from 90 countries came to the previous communication platform to find out about the innovations in the industry from 516 companies from 30 countries. More at

DVW e.V. – German Society for Geodesy, Geoinformation and Land Management e.V. is the host of INTERGEO.

The key topics of the INTERGEO conference are shaped by current trends that are influencing society, with presentations and discussions focusing on subjects such as mobility, energy, and land and urban development. As an up-and-coming technology, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) will be a particular point of interest. The UAV Flightzone in the outdoor area at INTERGEO provides a showcase for these flying surveying devices whose main purpose is to supply current geographical image information to assist the decision-making process. On Thursday 9 October, the GeoBusiness Commission of the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology will host presentations and discussions on creating value from and making sustainable use of public geodata.
