Hannover Messe 2015 – New UAV technology for industries

17. April 2015
UAV technology

New UAV technology for industries and technological advance has been underrepresented at this year’s Hannover Messe. However one could meet a well-known UAV with a new feature in the research area: AscTec Falcon 8 featuring AscTec Trinity.

Past week the internationally leading Hannover Messe attracted numerous visitors from all around the world. Major topics have been Industrial Automation & IT, Energy & Environmental Engineering, Power Transmission and Control, Industrial Subcontracting & Production Engineering as well as Research and Development.

Right in that field we were presenting our established AscTec Falcon 8 in combination with its new autopilot system “AscTec Trinity”, since we were successfully testing and improving our UAV together with the Bauhaus-University Weimar, Germany over months. This new UAV technology, a triple redundant autopilot, is the first fully adaptive flight control and enables unparalleled precision and controllability.

UAV technology, research and development

At the university’s research and development stand visitor could learn more about the results of the research project “ZukunftBau” (future of construction), which tested the use of an AscTec Falcon 8 for professional UAV-/drone-based inspection operations at buildings and structures. The patented V-form Octocopter was successfully used in many challenging inspection flights for construction monitoring and structure analysis. The new autopilot will now increase its performance and robustness.

Any UAV-/drone-based operation will sustainably benefit from that new level of safety and efficiency. The HMI’s conclusion: With “Integrated Industry – Join the Network” as its keynote theme, HANNOVER MESSE 2015 soared to new heights, striking an inspirational note among exhibitors and attendees from industry, business and government. Maybe it depends on all these small innovations like the new UAV autopilot from Ascending Technologies providing those essentials in the long term. Maybe it’s the crucial innovation to your business.
