HMI 2014 – review

15. April 2014

For Ascending Technologies the HMI was a great success. “We wanted to perform live and show the magnificent flight characteristics of the AscTec Falcon 8 in an outdoor flight show. And it really did work very well. The response was great.” Says Daniel Gurdan, one of the CEOs. In accordance to the motto “Industry 4.0” we celebrated the exhibition premiere of our new inspection payload TZ61. Our indoor stand in hall 27 was close to several wind park operators, which were highly interested in inspection solutions.

With the inspection payload we provide real inspection efficiency. By combining the FLIR TAU 640 with an AscTec IR Raw Data Logger and a TZ61, you will be able to record synchronously JPGS and georeferenced 14 Bit RAW thermal images. In only one inspection flight you get all desired images, tagged with the relevant position and orientation information. Great advantage for any aerial inspector.

Hence the inspection payload is the perfect inspection solution for someone, who is doing aerial inspection. Just as any of our payload options the inspection payload TZ61 is fully integrated in the flight system via AscTec Camera Mount. Camera functions can easily be controlled with the Mobile Ground Station. An upgrade of the AscTec Falcon 8 (required: type 2012; V3.0) and the High-Performance Option including more powerful motor rails and props are mandatory to use that payload.

Please let us know, if we can help you with that. We would be glad to make you a good offer on that.

Just in case you did not manage to see that at the HMI … watch our exhibition clip here:
